Abhijith is a graduate from a widely-recognized "top ten" law school, namely, Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies, Bangalore University. He also has earned diplomas in Intellectual Property Rights and Cyber Law at Asian School of Cyber Laws, and he completed a general course in Intellectual Property Rights in WIPO. Abhijith, known by his many friends as "Bijju," was an active organizer of cultural festivals during his college days. His non-career interests include traveling, photography, blogging and playing volleyball. Although raised and educated in Bangalore, Abhijith is a native Mysorean. He is very excited to have become a "global counsel" at SDDGS, which at the same time allows him to return to Mysore. Abhijith is a cheerful and confident addition to our team, and we hope to help him make a fine career in international law.

Abhay Shankar Babu, a native of Kerala, is a graduate of top-ten-ranked Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur. He chose to apply to SDD Global after interning with some of the leading advocates and law firms in India, and also after gaining experience in the legal departments of several corporations. Abhay had the privilege of representing his University at the 7th International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot Competition in Perth, Australia. In addition, he presented a paper on Reflections on Economic Growth, Quality of Environment and Sustainability in the National Seminar on "National Environment Policy (NEP) -2006 - Objectives, Strategies and Implementation," organized by the Department of Economics in collaboration with the Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution in Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. He also participated in the 1st Roundtable Conference on the Criminal Justice System in India, organized by the State of Chattisgarh. In his law school days, Abhay represented his University in cricket tournaments and drama show competitions. He enjoys travelling, listening to music and playing guitar. Abhay is happy to be working at SDD Global Solutions, which he picked because of its standing as the only legal outsourcing company in India managed by a U.S. law firm. Says Abhay, "the work culture here is amazing. I'm gaining both in-depth knowledge and experience, through daily training sessions, which are helping me enhance my drafting and research skills. As if that were not enough, the climate in Mysore is like paradise!"

Amanda Houle, our Chief Financial Officer, is a U.S. citizen who works full-time in our India office.  She has managed the finances of several business, and also has held managerial roles at such companies as Federal Express.  In addition to her CFO role, Amanda oversees and administers an array of projects for SDD Global, ranging from advanced English writing courses, to public relations, management training, internship programs, and marketing and recruitment efforts.  She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Evergreen State College in Washington, with a concentration in Pre-law and Theatre.  At Evergreen, Amanda was the creator and coordinator of the Pre-Law Circle, and she completed extensive graduate study in Management, Mediation and Conflict Resolution.  She also studied Education at Western Michigan University.  She spent four years in Japan, teaching English and American culture to Japanese students for the Board of Education, and helping to manage and design the curriculum for two prestigious educational institutions there.    She worked in Sri Lanka as a volunteer with Project Galle 2005, helping to provide food and housing for tsunami survivors.  Amanda also is a veteran participant and assistant with the Landmark Forum, a highly acclaimed training program that has helped nearly one million managers and others bring about a fundamental shift or transformation in what is possible in their careers and lives.  Amanda is also an Ashtanga Yoga teacher who has studied with Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore and has taught Ashtanga around the world and managed an Ashtanga Yoga shala in Japan.

Currently in charge of our Human Resources Department, Arpana has experience as HR Manager for two of the top companies in Mysore and Mumbai.  She received her Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at Karnataka State Open University, Mysore and her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management at the University of Mysore. 

Ashish Kumar is an Honors graduate of one of India’s finest national law schools, the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) in Kolkata, where he was a member of the Constitutional Law Society. He is now a rising star in SDD Global’s U.S. Legal Research and Drafting Department. After gaining experience at several corporate law firms, Ashish decided to seek a law firm career. Says Ashish: “I came to SDD Global because it’s more like a global law firm than a typical LPO (legal process outsourcing company). All my expectations have been realized and more. For one thing, I’m an avid movie fan, so of course it’s very satisfying to do research and drafting for top Hollywood motion picture studios, and to help solve their legal issues. The daily training here is amazing, and it gives me the opportunity to not only work, but also learn and grow. And it means a lot that this is the only legal outsourcing company in India managed by a U.S. law firm. On top of all that, Mysore is a welcome change from India's big cities. Here I can enjoy friendly colleagues, great weather, and blue skies, and my commuting time is a two-minute walk, instead of over an hour on crowded public transport in Mumbai. When I get a bike, I’ll cut that down to 30 seconds!” Ashish’s continuous advanced training includes daily workshops and supervision by U.S. lawyers. At some point, he hopes to study for the New York bar exam, and possibly join SDD Global’s parent law firm, the New York and London-based SmithDehn LLP.

Kumar B.C. has been working his way through college as our Facilities Associate. He is now in his final year of the B.A. degree program at Mysore University. At SDD Global, he has been given an opportunity to improve his business and computer skills and gain wide experience in different fields.

Mohit Kumar is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University, rated as one among the top dozen law universities in India. Academically a keen student, Mohit was awarded a University Merit Scholarship and also earned a Certificate of Merit at a seminar in “Historical Method” attended by over 500 students and conducted by world renowned Historian and former President of ICHR (Indian Council of Historical Research), Prof. Irfan Habib. During his college days, Mohit interned with some of the best law firms in India. He also participated in several seminars on diverse legal topics and has been a volunteer for Center for Science & Environment, Delhi. Mohit joined us as a Litigation Support Attorney and is happy to be a part of our Company, where he feels he can achieve his goal of being an outstanding professional in the legal field. Mohit has a passion for music, reading, and philosophy. In particular, he is a great fan of the writer and philosopher, Bertrand Russell.

Trained in business and law, Lakshmi jumped at the chance to join our Immigration Services Department, where she enjoys helping obtain U.S. work visas at the request of professionals and their sponsoring companies.  She received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Barathidasan University, Trichy, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Madras University.  She is proud to be a part of SDD Global and its rapid success.

Neeraj Gupta is associated with SDD Global as a  Technical Partner- Patents. Neeraj holds a Bachelors of Technology degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Metallurgical and Material Sciences and Masters of Science Degree from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, in Scientific Computing and Mathematics. Neeraj is also faculty at Institute of Intellectual Property Studies (IIPS), Mumbai. Applying his business and technical background, Neeraj assists clients in protecting and expanding their domestic and international knowledge-based businesses using IP protection, licensing and strategic planning. Neeraj plays a key role in developing and implementing intellectual property, business strategies and initiatives for several product and service based organizations. He also provides IP Portfolio Management Consulting to companies in different sectors in India and abroad

Preethi is a classically trained dancer who decided to join the ranks of modern Indian women who are making their mark in the worlds of law and business. She earned a law degree near the top of her class at prestigious Mysore University, and she gained three years of experience as an advocate in the Indian courts. In addition to substantially improving her salary and working conditions, we have given her the chance to expand her skills by working on litigation matters in fields such as intellectual property. Preethi still teaches classical Indian dance, but now she is also part of our litigation support team.  She recently assisted Channel 4 Television, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, and the Independent Film Channel in a copyright litigation in Cleveland, Ohio.  

Padmavathi joined us as a Legal Research Manager in August, 2006, and in less than a year from her association, she already has distinguished herself as a key member of our organization. Given her sheer dedication and enthusiasm, it is no surprise that Padmavathi has an impeccable academic record, having secured the second rank in law from the University of Mysore. Ms. Padmavathi was a “superstar” lecturer in law at the University of Mysore and its affiliate colleges for six years, before undergoing intensive training in U.S. legal research at SDD Global. Her other notable academic achievements include obtaining a postgraduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from top-ranked National Law School in Bangalore, an LL.M in International Law and Business & Trade Law from the University of Mysore, and undergoing a course in cyber laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune. She has written and published research articles in such areas as trademark law and globalization. To her broad knowledge and excellent legal research skills, she also brings a passion for teaching, which has proved invaluable in the training and supervision of top-notch legal researchers at SDD Global. An avid nature lover and photographer, Padmavathi enjoys traveling, and of course spending quality time with her family, including her four year old daughter.

We are happy to have Pushpa join us in as an Accounts Process Executive, after receiving her Bachelor of Commerce Degree at Maharani College in Mysore.  Pushpa is equally happy that her first job is with a company like SDD Global, that gives her a chance to grow her career without "job-hopping."  She is especially pleased to be involved now in the legal field, especially at a company that provides legal services on the world stage.

Rishabh hails from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He attained his graduation in Business Management from CMS- GITAM and has just completed his Bachelor of Laws from Andhra University, where he has always stood first or second in his university.  Based on his stellar academic record, Rishabh has represented Andhra University at an international seminar on Humanitarian Law conducted by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).  He also represented his law college at the National rounds of the prestigious Henry Dunant International Moot Court Competition held at Delhi and reached the semi-final stage.  Rishabh is proud to be a part of SDD Global, where he is mesmerized by the encouraging and friendly work environment.  He was surprised to find that at SDD Global, he has access to training, guidance, and a listening ear, even from those at the highest levels of management.

A clear vision, realistic growth prospects and sound management are what prompted Sanjay Bhatia to join SDD Global as Head of Operations.  Prior to joining our company, Sanjay served as the country's Head of Operations for India's first high-end legal services KPO, which he helped establish, incorporate and manage in Banglalore since 2003.  A graduate of India's top-ranked National Law School, and fully trained in U.S.legal matters, Sanjay is probably the best and most experienced lawyer in India in the field of U.S. legal research and drafting. For over five years, he has trained and managed a team of highly qualified lawyers, handpicked from India's best law schools. Many of his trainees also have joined SDD Global. Sanjay is an expert in handling a wide variety of U.S. legal matters including, among other things, trademark and copyright litigation, contracts, torts, and healthcare.

Before we hired her as Finance Manager, Saritha worked for eight years handling all of the financial books and accounts for one of the largest and most famous businesses in Mysore and another nine years handling accounts for other companies. We boosted her income level and broadened her horizons. Saritha now is handling the accounts for Smith Dornan Dehn's New York headquarters, and training and supervising other account managers to do the same for our clients around the world. The former bookkeeper at SDD could not be more happy with this, because she always wanted to do paralegal work, and with the arrival of Saritha, she now has been trained and promoted to do just that.  Saritha earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Mysore University, and she has been trained in banking at Canara Bank, and in computer sciences at CMS Computer Institute.

Satyajit is an accomplished graduate of the Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University, ranked as one of the top dozen law schools in the country. An outstanding student and an eloquent orator, Satyajit was awarded the University Merit Scholarship and also represented his University at the K.K. Luthra Memorial National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, organized by the Delhi University. We are pleased that after joining SDD Global Solutions, Satyajit continues to be a co-ordinator of the human rights advocacy organisation, “Friends of Tibet (INDIA).” Satyajit also has interned with leading corporate law firms in New Delhi, with a former Advocate General of Orissa, and with the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi. He has joined us as a Litigation Support Attorney, in part because he believes in our unique and positive work culture, which meets or exceeds what he has observed at the top law firms in India. Satyajit is a football aficionado, and avid reader of psychological thrillers, and he also spends his spare time discussing political philosophy with whoever cares to listen.

Smitha joined us as an Accounts Associate in early 2006. After working in our Accounts department for over a year, where her dedication to the job was legendary, Smitha was offered to work in our Human Resources department as a HR Associate. As her strengths and interests seemed to be more inclined to HR, and because of her passion for people, and her interpersonal skills and abilities, she was hand-picked from within the organization as our HR Associate. Smitha's academic credentials, in addition to her Bachelor's Degree of Commerce from Bangalore University are, an Intermediate Course in Company Secretary from ICSI in Delhi, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Karnataka State Open University. She feels SDD Global is a dream company, in that it regards all employees as having equal importance and encourages all to voice their opinions. To her, SDD Global is a rewarding workplace and an environment where she feels at home.

Sreejith Mohandas has worked for some of the largest companies in India and Mysore.  As our first Facilities Manager, Sreejith was one of the pioneers of our company, devoting countless consecutive days and nights to our start-up phase.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.  He also earned an Advanced Diploma in Hardware and Networking from the Indian Institute of Hardware Technology, in Mysore.  In addition, he received an Advanced Diploma in Business Management, and is pursuing his M.B.A at Adam Smith University of America.  Sreejith does an expert job in managing our infrastructure, as well as coordinating with architects, engineers, designers and vendors in connection with the final interior work on our new three-story office building in Kuvempunagar, which will accommodate over 300 employees.

Our Training and Quality Control Manager, Sreekanth is a master at learning and improving upon the business and other processes of firms like Fulbright & Jaworksi in Texas, and training large teams of employees in India to do the work even better, allowing the clients to expand. We attracted him from the largest legal process outsourcing company in India. Sreekanth is very happy to be able to dramatically advance in his career without having to move to Bangalore and uproot his family from Mysore.   His work experience also includes positions at Keonics, Excel Soft, BluChip Solutions and BizSource India.  He is certified in System Programming from Raman Institute of Computer Education, a leading computer education center in Mysore. He also has completed an Advanced Certified Course in programming languages.  He is proficient in Unix, Debian Linux and Red Hat Linux. MS-DOS, and MS-Windows, along with programming languages such as Pascal, Cobol, C, C++.  He has a  Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics from Mysore University.

With over a year of intensive training in the U.S. legal system under the guidance of experienced American lawyers, and with several years of education in the U.S., Vidya Devaiah co-ordinates legal services projects for various clients. Her extradordinary analytical abilities, training, and excellent written and spoken English skills allow her to expertly liase with Western and other clients and produce top-tier results in matters such as sophisticated, subjective document review, research, and drafting. A native Mysorean, Vidya uses her strong connections with the news media and the community to promote SDD Global and serve as its de facto public relations officer. Vidya also helps train employees to improve their English communication skills. Vidya completed her Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering from JSS Polytechnic for Women, Mysore and is currently pursuing her M.A in English Literature at Karnataka State Open University, Mysore. She has worked for different companies in Mysore and Bangalore in her career span of sixteen years. Vidya also has leadership experience through her involvement with Mysore Ladies Circle 9 and other local charities.
